Parmarth Niketan was honoured to welcome the Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, Government of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, who offered prayers to Maa Ganga and participated in the world-renowned Divine Ganga Aarti in the sacred presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji. The serene atmosphere, Vedic chanting, and the spiritual energy of the banks of the Ganga created a deeply uplifting and inspiring experience.

Pujya Swamiji welcomed Dr. Rawat with a traditional ceremonial shawl and presented him with a Rudraksha sapling, symbolising the Himalayan tradition of environmental stewardship. Swamiji shared that Uttarakhand has the potential to become a global centre for holistic healthcare by integrating modern medicine with yoga, Ayurveda, spirituality, and environmental consciousness.

The meeting included meaningful discussions on strengthening healthcare services across Uttarakhand, expanding medical education, improving access to quality healthcare in rural and mountainous regions, promoting holistic wellness through yoga and Ayurveda, enhancing public health awareness, and ensuring comprehensive healthcare facilities for pilgrims during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

Pujya Swamiji emphasised that true health is the harmony of body, mind, intellect, and spirit. He noted that integrating modern medical science with yoga, pranayama, Ayurveda, balanced nutrition, sanitation, and positive living is essential for building a healthy and resilient society.

Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat appreciated Parmarth Niketan’s multidimensional contributions in healthcare, education, environmental conservation, Ganga cleanliness, yoga, women’s empowerment, and humanitarian service. He remarked that Parmarth Niketan is a remarkable example of spirituality in action, inspiring people not only spiritually but also towards social responsibility and nation-building.

The visit concluded with special prayers for the well-being of all, the protection of Mother Ganga and the Himalayas, environmental preservation, world peace, and the continued progress of Uttarakhand.
