Bodies Inscribed with the Name of Ram, Hearts Illuminated by Humanity
A truly inspiring confluence of devotion, culture, and spirituality unfolded today on the sacred banks of Maa Ganga. Devotees from the Ramnami Community of Chhattisgarh visited Parmarth Niketan and, in the divine presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, participated in the world-renowned Ganga Aarti, sharing a powerful message of faith, equality, and spiritual unity.
The Ramnami Community represents one of India’s most extraordinary spiritual traditions. By permanently inscribing the sacred name “Ram” upon their bodies, they embody the belief that when God resides in the heart, His presence should be reflected in every aspect of life. Their tradition stands as a living symbol of devotion, dignity, self-respect, and unwavering faith.
HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji shared that the Ramnami Community is not merely a community but a living stream of devotion that inspires humanity through equality, compassion, and surrender to the Divine. At a time when the world is searching for deeper spiritual roots and authentic cultural identity, the Ramnami tradition shines as a beacon of Sanatan wisdom and universal values.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Shri Ram Katha Vyas Pujya Sant Muralidhar Ji, Pujya Bhagawati Saraswati Ji, Chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Shri Hemant Dwivedi Ji, and Hon’ble Mayor of Rishikesh Shri Shambhu Paswan Ji.
Pujya Swamiji also presented Rudraksha saplings to the representatives of the Ramnami Community and distinguished guests, inspiring environmental stewardship and a greener future.
Ram on their bodies, Ram in their hearts, and Ram in their lives — the Ramnami Community reflects the timeless spirit of India’s spiritual heritage.
