On the sacred occasion of International Yoga Day, more than 25 Ambassadors, High Commissioners, senior diplomats and international dignitaries gathered at Parmarth Niketan, on the serene banks of the sacred River Ganga in Rishikesh, to experience the transformative power of Yoga and India’s eternal wisdom.
Surrounded by the majestic Himalayas and the divine flow of Mother Ganga, participants described the experience as far beyond a physical practice—a profound journey of inner peace, self-discovery and global unity.
A historic milestone marked the occasion as Parmarth Niketan signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Nepal and Ecuador for the ‘Ganga Yoga’ initiative, strengthening international collaboration to promote Yoga as a pathway to holistic well-being and global harmony.
Before their departure, every Ambassador, High Commissioner and distinguished guest received a Rudraksha sapling as Parmarth Niketan’s green gift, carrying forward the spirit of “One Tree for Mother” and inspiring embassies around the world to nurture environmental stewardship alongside spiritual values.
HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji shared a powerful message, “Many nations, many cultures—but one resolve: a world rooted in Yoga, peace and harmony. Many languages, many traditions—but one consciousness: the eternal wisdom of Sanatan. Yoga is the bridge that connects not borders, but hearts; not nations alone, but the entire human family.”
The dignitaries expressed that their time at Parmarth Niketan was an unforgettable experience of India’s spiritual heritage, compassion and the living philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—The World Is One Family.
Yoga is not merely India’s ancient heritage; it is humanity’s shared future.
