Somnath Amrit Mahotsav — A Divine Celebration of Faith, Renaissance and Sanatan Consciousness

“Somnath is not merely a temple, but the heartbeat of India’s soul.  Civilizations survive not by swords, but by sanskara, values and culture.” – HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji

“The world today needs not only economic power, but also spiritual direction.” – Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji

On the sacred banks of Maa Ganga at Parmarth Niketan, “Somnath Amrit Mahotsav” was celebrated today with immense devotion, spiritual fervour and divine energy. Amid the sacred chanting of Vedic mantras, Shiva bhajans resonating in the atmosphere, the glow of lamps and the eternal flow of Mother Ganga, it felt as though Lord Mahadev Himself was blessing the gathering with His infinite grace.

On the auspicious occasion marking 75 years of the reconstruction of the sacred Somnath Temple, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji performed special worship and Maha-Abhishek of Lord Shiva with the holy waters of Maa Ganga. Acharyas of Parmarth Gurukul, Rishikumars, saints and administrative dignitaries also participated in this divine celebration.

This was not merely a religious ritual, but a celebration of that immortal consciousness which, despite countless invasions, struggles and attempts of destruction over a thousand years, never allowed the soul of Bharat to bow down. Standing unwavering amidst the endless waves of the ocean, Somnath continues to proclaim to the entire world that truth, faith and Sanatan consciousness are eternal.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji said, “Somnath is the eternal proclamation of India’s immortal consciousness. History witnessed repeated attempts to destroy it, yet every time Somnath arose even more radiant and divine. Temples may be broken, but faith can never be destroyed.”

Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji shared, “Somnath inspires humanity with the message that no matter how deep the darkness may be, a single lamp can illuminate the entire world. Today, humanity needs not only material and economic progress, but spiritual wisdom, compassion and inner awakening.”

Today’s “Somnath Amrit Mahotsav” was not merely a remembrance of the past, but a sacred spiritual resolve for the next thousand years of Bharat — a Bharat rooted in its eternal values, proud of its culture and destined to guide the world with peace, love and spirituality.
