Triveni Maha Sangam of Yoga

The World’s Foremost Yoga Gurus lead a divine, fun and power packed morning Yoga Session on the banks of the Sangam with Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji and Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji in the presence of many respected saints, during a weeklong Yog Kumbh being jointly organised by the Indian Yoga Association and Parmarth Niketan, in association with UP Tourism and the Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India

PRAYAGRAJ KUMBH: Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, Founder, Art of Living, was warmly welcomed this morning at the Yog Kumbh by Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji and Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and many other revered saints.


The seven day Yog Kumbh is being held on the banks of the Sangam at the Parmarth Niketan, Ganga Action Parivar (GAP), GIWA Kumbh Camp, Sector 18 from the 1st to 7th February with yoga sessions, lectures, Aarti Satsang throughout the day by over a dozen of India’s most reputed Yoga institutions*. The event is being jointly organised by the Indian Yoga Association and Parmarth Niketan, in association with UP Tourism and the Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

The main highlight of the Yog Kumbh are the morning sessions from 7:00-9:00 am being held from the 1st to the 4th February which are led by Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji at the banks of the Sangam just in front of the Parmarth Niketan Shivir.


Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji was warmly invited by Pujya Yogrishi Ramdevji to lead the first half of this morning’s live Yoga session.
During his instructions Pujya Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji shared, “Yoga fills our life with music and this morning we actually had beautiful music with Yoga. As the song mentions, we are here today as an illustration of unity admist the diversity. This is purpose of Yoga to lead us to that state of Sangam (confluence) within us in which every moment is Yoga.”


Whilst leading a special asana he shared that instead of Selfie point let us realise that the Self is the point- the source of all consciousness.

Pujya Swami Ramdevji said, “Yog Kranti (the Revolution of Yoga) is the core of all revolutions. By practising yoga every day and doing Karma Yoga throughout the day the potential and infinite light that we truly are is unleashed. As the sun rises over the horizon and shines out from under the clouds let our good fortune and better future also grow and thrive.”

He also lauded the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mahant Shri Yogi Adityanathji and the entire Kumbh Mela Adminstration under his leadership for their incredible arrangements and for making the Kumbh Mela a truly Swachh Kumbh (Clean Kumbh).
At the completion of the session Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji shared, “Today this is the Sangam that is needed. When there is convergence and oneness on the banks of the sacred confluence that in itself is the nectar. Fill the nectar of Yoga- of union- in your Kumbh, in your body, mind and spirit and take it back to spread and share with all.”

This morning’s session was joined by revered saints Pujya Anand Giriji, Pujya Pundrik Goswamiji, Pujya Sant Murlidharji & Pujya Indrapradun Das Swamiji from Holland as well as Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh Ms Swati Singhji, Kamlesh Barnwal, Secretary General, Indian Yoga Association, Director of Sri Sri School of Yoga, Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary, Rajesh, Patanjali Yogpeeth, and Ganga Nandini, Coordinator of Yog Kumbh who also joined in the lamp lighting ceremony.
