Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan, visited the Parmarth Sangam Ghat and surrounding areas today to review the preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, Magh Mela, and various spiritual–cultural events.
Pujya Swami Ji shared that plans are progressing swiftly to make the Sangam area more divine, grand, safe and aesthetically enriched. He further said that the Yogi Government is committed to moving forward with culture, heritage and development together.
Describing Prayagraj as the spiritual heartbeat of India and a living symbol of Sanatan heritage, Pujya Swami Ji emphasised that cleanliness, accessibility, safety and beauty of the Sangam region remain top priorities. During the inspection, he engaged in detailed discussions on developing Areil Ghat and its surroundings as a model of spiritual tourism and sacred heritage.
He said that the Sangam is that sacred land where faith, spirituality, service, culture and values flow together. Therefore, its development must not only be structural but also emotional and culturally rooted. Pujya Swami Ji called upon local youth, volunteers and organisations to intensify campaigns on cleanliness, tree plantation, water conservation and public awareness before the Kumbh.
On this occasion, Swami Ji offered heartfelt homage to three great national icons on their Punyatithi — Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai Ji, Ram Janmabhoomi movement’s guiding force Ashok Singhal Ji, Fearless nationalist leader Balasaheb Thackeray Ji – by planting a Rudraksha sapling at Parmarth Triveni Pushp Prangan, Prayagraj.
Pujya Swami Ji said that these three towering personalities represent the shining pillars of courage, patriotism, sacrifice and Sanatan values.
The indomitable bravery of Lala Lajpat Rai Ji, the spiritual nationalism of Ashok Singhal Ji and the fearless national voice of Balasaheb Thackeray Ji will continue to inspire Bharat for generations.
He added that planting a tree on their Punyatithi is a sacred commitment to nature, nation and culture.
In conclusion, Pujya Swami Ji said that patriotism is not merely an idea—it is a lifelong resolve.
On the Punyatithi of these great souls, we pledge to remain dedicated to protecting our nation, dharma and cultural heritage while walking on the path shown by them.
