As the 2024 Kanwad Mela draws to a beautiful and successful conclusion, the Rishikumars, Acharyas and sevaks of Parmarth Niketan today launched a cleanliness drive to collect the waste products left behind in Neelkanth Marg, and held a rally to create awareness about environmental protection. During this, plastic bottles, single-use plastic bags and other materials were collected and disposed of.

In his message, HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji, President of Parmarth Niketan, said that there is a very deep relationship between cleanliness and health. “If our surroundings are clean, then our health will be clean. The Kanwad Yatra is not a garbage journey so there should be no garbage in Ganga.

“Cleanliness and environmental protection are an important part of our religious duties. We should ensure that we do not spread garbage during our religious festivals and Yatras and keep the environment around us clean. The slogan ‘Bol Bam, Bol Bam Kachra Kar Do Jad Se Khatam’ reminds us that cleanliness and environmental protection are a vital component of our spiritual practice.

The Yatra, Pujya Swamiji said, should make the youth “dance in joy by becoming the wave of Shiva. There is a lot of energy and power in Kanwad Yatra, and everyone must go from here with the resolution to make a clean India. Till now we have anointed the throat of Lord Shiva. Now the time has come to anoint our own streets because the energy of Kanwad Yatra can energize the whole country.

Acharya Sandeep Shastri Ji said “This cleanliness campaign run by the Rishikumars of Parmarth Niketan Gurukul is an important step. Through this, we can not only protect the environment but also ensure a clean and healthy environment for the coming generations.

Rakesh Roshan, Ramchandra Shah, Kishore Bhatt, Remshi S, Rishikumar of Paramartha Gurukul were also present on the occasion.

परमार्थ निकेतन के ऋषिकुमारों, आचार्यों और सेवकों ने नीलकंठ मार्ग पर फैली गंदगी को साफ करने हेतु आज स्वच्छता अभियान चलाया व पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूकता हेतु रैली निकाली। इस दौरान प्लास्टिक की बोतलें, सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक बैग और अन्य अपशिष्ट पदार्थों को एकत्रित कर उनका निस्तारण किया।

ऋषिकुमारों ने पपेट शो के माध्यम से स्वच्छता अभियान के साथ-साथ एक जागरूकता रैली भी निकाली। इस रैली के माध्यम से शिवभक्तों और स्थानीय निवासियों को स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में नारों व स्लोगन के माध्यम से जागरूक किया।

परमार्थ निकेतन के अध्यक्ष स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती ने अपने संदेश में कहा कि स्वच्छता और स्वास्थ्य के बीच अत्यंत गहरा संबंध है। अगर हमारा परिवेश स्वच्छ होगा तो स्वास्थ्य जोखिम भी कम होगा।

स्वामी जी ने कहा कि कांवड यात्रा कचरा यात्रा नहीं है इसलिये पुरानी कांवड़, पुराने कपड़े और प्लास्टिक को गंगा जी में न डाले। साथ ही युवा अपनी ऊर्जा का नकारात्मक दिशा में प्रयोग न करे। यंग दिल को तंग दिल न बनायें। यंग दिल तंग दिल होकर नहीं बल्कि शिव की तरंग दिल होकर मस्ती मंे झूमें। कांवड यात्रा में बहुत ऊर्जा है शक्ति है यहां से स्वच्छ भारत बनाने का संकल्प लेकर जाये। अभी तक हमने भगवान शिव के गले का अभिषेक किया अब अपनी-अपनी गलियों का अभिषेक करने का समय आ गया है क्योकि कांवड़ यात्रा की ऊर्जा पूरे देश को ऊर्जावान बना सकती है।

उन्होंने कहा कि यात्रा के दौरान और उसके पश्चात स्वच्छता बनाए रखना हम सभी की साझा जिम्मेदारी है। स्वच्छता और पर्यावरण संरक्षण हमारे धार्मिक कर्तव्यों का एक महत्वपूर्ण अंग हैं। हमें यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि हम अपने धार्मिक उत्सवों और यात्राओं के दौरान कचरा न फैलाएं और अपने आसपास के वातावरण को स्वच्छ रखें। “बोल बम, बोल बम कचरा कर दो जड़ से खतम” का नारा हमें यह याद दिलाता है कि स्वच्छता और पर्यावरण संरक्षण हमारा धार्मिक कर्तव्य है। सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक, कचरा जिस तीव्र गति से बढ़ रहा है उस माहौल में हम स्वस्थ जीवन की कल्पना नहीं कर सकते। स्वस्थ नागरिक ही स्वस्थ राष्ट्र का निर्माण कर सकते हैं इसलिये आईये प्रकृति के सच्चे प्रहरी बनने का संकल्प लें।

आचार्य संदीप शास्त्री जी ने कहा कि परमार्थ निकेतन गुरुकुल के ऋषिकुमारों द्वारा चलाया गया यह स्वच्छता अभियान एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इसके माध्यम से हम न केवल पर्यावरण की रक्षा कर सकते हैं, बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए एक स्वच्छ और स्वस्थ वातावरण भी सुनिश्चित कर सकते हैं।
