A very special two-day confab, the International Sahitya Kumbh Literature Festival – created and led by Shri Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishankji and blessed with the presence of HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – concluded today on the holy banks of Mother Ganga as Pujya Swami Ramdevji, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, respected Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Professors, Researchers, public representatives and others from all corners of the country and abroad came together to celebrate and commemorate the incredible literary accomplishments of Dr Nishankji – accomplishments that include over 80 books providing vital information and context about Mother Ganga and Indian culture and tradition. The event was organized jointly under the aegis of Himalayan Heritage Trust, Dehradun; Ink Blue Books, Delhi; and Himalayan University, Dehradun.
Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj said that such conferences reflect the pride of Sanatan culture. “Let us become bigger – not by our language but by our perception, talent and creativity. Whatever you do, do it with complete honesty. Let there be totality and completeness in our work. Live a life full of yoga and karma yoga and do yoga-oriented endeavors.
“We are not identified with any school or college, but by ourselves, our personality. It is necessary that the pride of the nation should increase because of us.” He also lauded Uttarakhand and the Himalayas, saying “there is no place more beautiful than the Himalayas! So return to your villages and your motherland.
Pujya Swamiji referred to Mataji by sharing, “It is necessary to connect with the mother tongue and the motherland, and to include them both in education policy. In the coming times, if we have to save the culture, nature and future, then special attention will have to be paid to that policy.
“Apart from spirituality and science, medicine and healthy routine, freedom and equality have also been clearly mentioned in the Vedas, as have excellent ethics – all of which are relevant for every era. India has been giving a message of peace to the whole world for centuries, thanks to the effect of sound and the sound of divine Veda mantras contained in the soil and water of India. India made progress from the Vedas to the Vimana and that progress has been based on peace. Peace is at our core and the basis of our progress is also peace, so it is necessary to return to the source of that peace – a Vedic education.”
Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank ji while discussing literature, science, nature, culture, journey from local to global and self-reliant India etc. said that this event is a literary Kumbh because “the power of the pen is bigger than an atom bomb.”
Congratulating the Vice Chancellors and litterateurs from almost all the states of India, China, Netherlands and other countries, he said that literary lovers from more than 35 countries joined this conference through online platform and enjoyed this divine program. Nishank said that the courtyard of Parmarth Niketan is the center of creation and our university is the center of vision and discipline.
Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev ji and Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji welcomed all the guests by presenting Rudraksha saplings to the Vice Chancellors and Professors of more than 35 universities. Everyone also participated in Parmarth Ganga Aarti.
