Inauguration of Shri Ram Katha Lila

With the inspiration, divine guidance and blessings of HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, the multimedia presentation of the Shri Ram Katha Lila presented under the joint aegis of Parmarth Niketan and International Ramlila Mahotsav Samiti in association with PT. Ganesh Prasad Mishra Seva Nyas was inaugurated on the holy banks of Mother Ganga at Parmarth’s renowned Sacred Ganga Aarti.

Joining Param Pujya Swamiji in lighting the ceremonial lamp were the Education and Health Minister for the Government of Uttarakhand, Shri Dr Dhan Singh Rawatji;
Delhi’s Rashtra Mandir, Vishwa Ramayana Ashram’s Shri Ajay Bhaiji; Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji; and, other distinguished guests.

During the event, Pujya Swamiji shared that “Ramayana has not only spiritual but also cultural importance. It contains the ideals and eternal values ​​of life. In this great book containing the highest and divine ideals of life, a wonderful description of the generous character of Lord Shri Ram ji has been given, which is relevant for every era. Ramayana is not just literature but a collection of virtues, good thoughts, good behavior and good conduct.”

Shri Dhan Singh Rawat ji echoed the sentiment, saying that the Shri Ramlila staging organized by Parmarth Niketan and International Ramlila Mahotsav Samiti “is really a wonderful medium to connect the young generation with Indian culture and traditions. The Ministry of Tourism’s Ramayana Circuit is a wonderful effort to increase tourism as well as to connect the younger generation with Indian philosophy and Ramlila. This unique effort, organized under the guidance of Pujya Swamiji, will prove to be a powerful movement in the direction of awakening the youth of Uttarakhand and establishing the ideals of Lord Shri Ram among the youth.”

Shri Ajay Bhaiji said that “staging Ramlila means knowing and living our glorious culture. There is a dire need of such divine events to connect today’s young generation with a great book like Ramayana and to establish those ideals in their lives.”
