Govardhan Puja Celebrated at Parmarth Niketan

Govardhan Puja was celebrated with immense joy at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, in the presence of HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji. Hundreds of devotees from India and around the world gathered in the divine atmosphere for special worship and rituals.

Pujya Swamiji shared that Govardhan Puja is not just a symbol of religious faith but also represents environmental preservation, social unity, culture, and traditions. Lord Shri Krishna’s eternal message teaches us that victory is rooted in faith, humility, and devotion—not arrogance or pride. By lifting the Govardhan mountain, Lord Krishna demonstrated the importance of protecting nature and upholding Sanatan Dharma. He reminded us that arrogance leads to downfall, but connecting with divine power empowers us to face life’s challenges with resilience.

This festival encourages us to embrace simplicity, truth, and community spirit. The Rishikumars of Parmarth Gurukul brought Krishna’s leelas to life with dance and music, enriching the celebration with devotion and joy. As we celebrate Govardhan Puja, may we commit to respecting our culture, protecting nature, and fostering unity and peace in our society. Let’s live by Lord Krishna’s teachings and strengthen our devotion and collective spirit
