First phase of Disability Free Uttarakhand Camp Concludes

The first phase of the Disability Free Uttarakhand Camp concluded today, organized across various districts of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh with the blessing of HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji.  In this 15-day Disability Free Uttarakhand Campaign, over 500 people received prosthetic limbs, calipers, modified shoes, crutches, and walkers free of cost, thanks to the joint efforts of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, and Mahavir Seva Sadan, Kolkata.

This initiative is a part of the larger Disability Free India campaign that began in 2022, working to ensure the inclusion, dignity, and empowerment of people with disabilities. The campaign focuses on reaching even the remotest areas, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Pujya Swamiji shared, “Disability Free India is a mission to empower the differently-abled, integrating them into the mainstream of society, ensuring equal opportunities for all.”

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand Shri Lt Gen Gurmit Singh Ji, Uttarakhand’s Higher Education and Health Minister Dr. Dr Dhan Singh Rawat Ji, and other dignitaries for their participation and encouragement.
