PROJECT PLAN FOR A DISABILITY FREE & EMPOWERED INDIA

Divyangta Mukt Bharat is an initiative by Parmarth Niketan (PN) and Mahavir Seva Sadan (MSS) to provide physically challenged persons with limited mobility the resources, services, and support to live with and in alignment with their unlimited ability and potential. Our objective is to ensure no one is left behind in being given the opportunity and access to resources they need to lead an empowered life with dignity and respect.

HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj, President of Parmarth Niketan has blessed this initiative immensely with His vision and leadership.  Numerous other revered saints and dignitaries have also lauded the initiative.

The challenging but inspiring journey towards this goal has already commenced with Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir in 2022. Our motive is to accomplish the  mission of a Divyangta Mukt Bharat in the next 10 years.

President of India Smt. Draupadi Murmur visited Parmarth and was updated on Divyangta Mukt Bharat progress

Hon'ble 14th President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind ji personally meets with some of the beneficiaries and is glad to learn about the initiative.

PHASE-WISE APPROACH:

While organising several camps across India, we have also taken a pledge to pilot this mission in the State of Uttarakhand by 2024. Remote and underprivileged areas will host strategically-located camps to measure, tailor-make fit-ups, fix and distribute artificial limbs, calipers, artificial hands, modified shoes, auxiliary crutches, and walkers FREE of cost to the beneficiaries. To ensure maximum service penetration in the remote areas, the dedicated project team has developed a detailed plan to ensure effective and efficient execution.  If you would like to be involved in this mission, we would be happy to share more about the camps that are established along with other future plans.

Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand Lt Gen (Retd) Shri Gurmit Singhji lauds the young women who were given prosthetic limbs and danced in divine ecstasy in the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan amidst an august gathering of India's revered saints and other esteemed dignitaries.

Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patelji and Hon'ble Governor of Kerala Shri Arif Mohammed Khanji are appraised of the progress of Divyangta Mukt Bharat campaign by Pujya Swamiji, President, Parmarth Niketan, and Shri Vinod Bagrodiaji of the Mahavir Seva Sadan.
